Shift Package Operator
This position will operate the automated bagging machines to ensure pet food products are packaged according to specifications.
Essential Functions of the Position (Responsibilities)
Will operate machine that packages pet food products.
Start the machine, by engaging controls.
Adjusts machine settings according to product and bag dimensions.
Observes bagging machine to ensure quality and conformity of packaged bags.
Will record product temperature to ensure within 20 degrees of ambient temperature.
Completes QC report 8011 every 15 minutes to ensure bag weight, lot number, and temperature, and bag seals.
Operate and maintain industrial forklift and handheld scan gun.
Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
Report any discrepancies to Management.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Follow and comply with SOP, QA, RUPP, HACCP procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Preferred Skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Prior forklift and manufacturing experience
High attention to detail
