Mill Operator
This position will be responsible for receiving quality bulk ingredients, batching of ingredients according to pet food orders, grinding of ingredients, and making hand adds.
Essential Functions of the Position (Responsibilities)
Ensures correct and accurate batching weight, tub numbers, lot numbers, according to production order.
Will enter the correct information into the batching system.
Responsible for completion of QC report 8013 and 8003.
Operates control panel for milling machines (includes start-up and shut down).
Pulls ingredients accurately and according to customer’s production order via forklift or by hand.
Take samples to check the quality of the products by using a sieve check for ground product and grain probe for bulk ingredients.
Will dump ingredients down hand add leg.
Responsible for the sanitation and housekeeping of mill room. Will be required to blow down the room.
Operate and maintain industrial forklift and handheld scan gun.
Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisor and coworkers.
Report any discrepancies to Management.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Follow and comply with SOP, QA, RUPP, HACCP procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
Prior milling experience preferred but not required
Preferred Skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Prior forklift and /or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Attention to detail
Mathematical skills
